Review: Dinner at the movies – ThEATre by Rhodes

Remember the days you used to go to the cinema and order popcorn or nachos to munch on during the movie? Well these days are over, you can now have burgers and french toast instead!

I have finally gotten the chance to try the new ThEATre by Rhodes at Vox Cinema, Emirates Mall and fell in love with it (reclining seats, pillows, and blankets), and most of all you get to enjoy a menu created by Michelin-starred British chef Gary Rhodes. I’ve tried the beef burger sliders and the nachos with three cheese dipping and they were extremely delicious and filling.

A great deal:

Another option you could go for especially if its a date night or a night out with your bestie is a full lunch or dinner package in which you can have an appetizer, main course, beverage, dessert, and a hot drink for just Dhs295 (of course including the movie ticket). You get to choose from a full menu of different options suitable for every taste, ranging from burgers to tuna sandwiches and more. Here’s what I had for dinner at the ThEATre.

Appetizer: Beef skewers and nachos with salsa and four cheese sauce. My favorite was the nachos and the homemade sauces, very tasty and filling. The beef skewers were delicious but too heavy for an appetizer.

Main Course: Curried chicken fingers and mini hotdogs. I would definitely give both dishes a ten. The chicken was flavorful and crispy, and the mini hotdogs came in small buns dipped in butter and different sauces on the side. Yum!

Dessert: My favorite part of the ThEATre experience was the dessert. We had french toast with banana and date and pancakes with berries. The french toast was exceptional, cut in pieces and topped with bananas on top. The pancakes was also delicious and very good for sharing as the portion is big enough. I would definitely give the dessert a well deserved ten!
