Review: Bussola Restaurant & Pizzeria

What do you get when you combine the delicious food of an Italian trattoria with the vibrant and luxurious atmosphere of the Dubai restaurant scene? Something close to perfection, AKA Bussola.

The restaurant nestled inside Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi hotel consists of two floors with two different concepts; fine dining and a casual pizzeria. The fine dining area is located on the lower floor with a laidback lounge, where you can enjoy sundowners with the finest Italian dishes. On the other hand, the pizzeria on the top floor has a more casual ambience and offers a great menu with freshly made Italian pizzas.

If you’re planning to dine on the lower floor, opt for the mixed seafood grill, and if you prefer something more filling, order the spinach ricotta ravioli or the mushroom risotto. Those three dishes are my favourites.

The pizzeria on the upper floor overlooking the hotel’s pool, is perfect for a casual night out or a quick lunch after a day by the pool!

Bussola’s pizza menu is divided into four categories; traditional Italian pizza, white pizza, closed pizza (calzone), and pizza from the world. If you amore truffle pizza as much as I do, you should try “La Tartufata”; this one has white truffle cream as a base, topped with mozzarella cheese, parmigiana cheese, black truffle, and porcini mushrooms.

Bussola just launched a third concept called “Mare,” which lets you enjoy pool access and lounge by the pool in your very own private cabana while munching on delicious snacks. I haven’t tried it yet, but I will definitely check it out and write about it in the upcoming articles!

Head to my Instagram page to see more photos/videos of Bussola, and let me know your thoughts! 😊
